HUSKY NEWS AND CURRENT EVENTS

The following collage of sports summaries and photos is from the 1984 Sabracus.  Highlighted are some of the accomplishments of the class of 1978 during their four years at the school and how they contributed to the overall success of these programs in the sixteen year history of the school.  Please be patient while the page loads.

Remember this?  The Kokomo vs Haworth rivalry was intense.  One year a group of student athletes from the H-Club lead by the seniors in the class of 1975 stole the wildkat from Kokomo High School!  They brought it to Haworth and the conquering heroes proudly displayed it in the foyer.  Principal McCool was a very good sport about it all.  Do you recognize these guys?

Kokomo High School lady Kats won the Class 4A State Basketball Championship in March 2003 with a perfect 26-0 record.  The leading scorer on the team, DeUnna, is the daughter of our own Robin Hendrix.  Congratulations to the Hendrix family!

Here our fellow classmate, Ellen Slifka Hawes, poses with two former Haworth varsity basketball players from the classes of 1975 and 1977.  Can you guess who they are?

Answer: With Ellen is, at the far left, Brent Oliver (77) and, in the middle, is Rod Harris (75)..
